Offshore

Offshore is an activity that takes place some distance from the coast, so on the water. Offshore companies focus on oil and gas exploration and production, wind energy and aquaculture. This branch can be divided into two components:  mining, with oil and gas platforms, and maritime, which includes diving support vessels, platform supply ships, pipe-layers and crane vessels.

Companies in the Port of Rotterdam offer repair and maintenance facilities, offshore testing and demo sites. But the port is also home to offices involved in many commercial activities, engineering work and various services.
